Klose Bbq Pit Smokers

Klose Barbecue Pits were founded in 1986, and have been widely featured in the Mediathroughout the USA, and are in keeping with the principal of maintaining an integrity of the Old Western Trail Drive style of cooking.

Dave Klose of Houston based Klose BBQ pits in Texas keeps a close eye on the workmanship and quality standards of the pits and smokers that they produce.

The company does not shy away from building any custom project, and to date, Klose BBQ pits have built hundreds of custom specced smokers for their customers satisfaction that is backed up by dozens of testimonials sent in by happy owners.

Whether a smal backyard grill is required, or a large-scale trailer pulled catering BBQ rig is required to feed several hundred, Dave Klose takes on the seemingly impossible by producing some of the best built BBQ smokers and grills that are available on the market today.

Ranging in size from 32" across the griddle for a relatively small backyard barbecue that will deal with regular cookups with ease, to huge 30+ foot long trailers that have additional custom features such as square fireboxes, custom handles, storage racks, warming boxes and wheel configurations to suit almost every eventuality.

When it comes to buying a top quality smoker, Klose leaves the options wide open for individual customisation. If the ideas and items are not readily available off the shelf or quickly manufacturered to specification in their production facility, Klose will selflessly go to almost any cost to obtain hard to find parts for a particular project.

With hundreds of sizes and styles in stock to choose from, including wood, charcoal, and gas-fired grills and smokers. Custom cookers include Chuck-Wagons, Pistol Smokers, Trains on real Railroad Tracks, even pits made out of Automobiles, and Semi Rigs.

All Klose BBQ Pits are made by hand, with no machinery involved in the manufacturing process except FOR a welding machine, in the spirit of the old style iron foundries.

One welder is assigned the task of builing a single pit from the beginning to the finished product, and is testament to the quality and durability that Klose smokers are made with.

Bbq Grill Smoker Questions

Can I make pulled pork on a propane BBQ?

Hello! My husband and I trying to make pulled pork for a bbq. Since, he insists on using his weber propane grill, I'll be doing a separate batch in the oven.

I am wondering if it's possible to cook pulled pork straight on a grill? Most websites I've visited have said to use a smoker or a second top rack. Unfortunately, the Weber is small and only has the main grill, no other racks... nor would there be room for another rack, since it is so small and the lid doesn't allow for much room.

Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated.

To add; we can't go out and buy a smoker or any other cooker... and he doesn't want to cook it any where other than the grill... I've tried. :)

Thanks!

low and slow...

use indirect heat and if you aren't going to use wood chips for smoke then put some apple juice in a foil pan under the pork (beneath the grill, above the flames) so that it can help keep the air in the grill moist and help flavor the pork...

smokin a turkey for Thanksgiving.?

I'm pretty good at this and have a great smoker grill but do any of you smoke turkeys for Thanksgiving and if so tell me your favorite way to prepair it.

I usually do a 10 to 12 pound turkey because I like that size bird. stuff it with celery, Onions and garlic and I bought this stuff called Texas BBQ rub , I coat the turkey with Zesty Italian dressing and then coat it with the rub, put it in a oven roaster bag and cut several slits in the bag (so it doesn't get over smoked) cook at 225 to 250 for 5 - 7 hours.. yum yum..

I'm in Florida so I use oak and cherry wood in the smoker.
I'll be doing 4 of them this year for friends and family, stop on by try some
thanks bdawg, I'll try that.. everyone has their own way, I use a dry rub, thus the oven bag. it comes out great but I'm always open to new ideas
how often to you mop it with the wet rub?

I was gonna smoke one. But I decided to do the ole traditional way my mama taught me (only I am gonna stuff it with similar goodies and such)
